Kareena Preston
Head Coach
Kareena has been a swim coach for over 30 years, coaching for multiple Australian swim teams and producing swimmers to State, National and international levels, as well as multiple world record holders at World and Paralympic level. Kareena has been mentored by many of Australia’s Olympic coaches, has spent many weeks learning at the AIS in Canberra, has travelled with teams and coached at the WA Institute of Sport.
Kareena holds an Advanced Coach Accreditation through SCTA (Swim Coaches Teachers Australia) and Open Water Coaching Accreditation.
Trish Dellows
Junior Performance Coach
Trish has a long and rich history with KSC, with 3 of her daughters’ Breanna, Annika and Mikaylah members of the club from 2003-2012, with Mikaylah still holding a number of our club records.
After many years of being a swimming parent, Trish took the plunge and began her coaching career with Peel Aquatic before taking on the Head Coach role with Pinjarra and Waroona.
Kirra Russell
Coach
Kirra has been a swimmer with Kwinana Swimming Club from a young age. Kirra has moved through all the squads, competing at states and acting as club captain in the 2017/2018 season. Kirra started coaching with the club in 2021 and is now coaching many squads throughout the club.
Kirra is currently completing a Bachelor of Primary Education and intends to use her studies to continually improve the development of young athletes. Kirra applies enthusiasm and creativity, together with her studies and swimming experience and knowledge, to further develop all swimmers she coaches.
